As CBN’s Senior Medical Reporter, Lorie Johnson reports on the latest information about medicine and wellness. Her goal is to provide information that will inspire people to make healthy choices.
She joined CBN in 2008 and has interviewed some of the world's leading doctors and researchers from The Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Duke, and more. She kept viewers up to date throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with regular appearances onThe 700 Club, Faith Nation, and Newswatch.
She has reported on many ground-breaking medical advancements, including the four-part series, Build a Better Gut, which was translated into a booklet that became the most-requested resource in CBN's history. Other noteworthy reports focused on topics such as Alzheimer's breakthrough research, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in football players, military personnel, and domestic violence victims, epigenetics, longevity, sleep hygiene, and cancer prevention.
Lorie produces and hosts Healthy Living, a 30-minute weekly program in which she often discusses nutrition with cookbook authors who join her in the CBN kitchen to demonstrate how to prepare healthy, delicious meals. The program also features in-depth interviews with experts across the health and wellness spectrum, including mental health experts who offer information and advice about recovering from depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and addiction.
Before joining CBN, she worked as a reporter and anchor at WVEC in Norfolk, Virginia, and KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas.
