New to the Christian Faith?

Welcome to the Family

In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

Heaven is rejoicing, and so are we! All Christians have been where you are right now. We know that you’re excited, filled with questions, wondering where to get started, and wondering how this decision will affect your life practically.

Getting Started

Prayer

Prayer is simply talking with God, and you can do this every day at any time. There is no right or wrong way to communicate with God. You can tell Him your thoughts, challenges, and dreams. He can handle anything you bring His way. You never have to clean yourself up to talk to Him. He loves you just as you are and wants to talk to you!

Not only can you pray by yourself, but you can pray with others, too! Invite friends, family, and your church into your prayers to God. You can ask others to pray for you and pray for others! At CBN, our prayer partners are here 24 hours a day to come alongside you with every need. Call or chat with us as often as you’d like.

Read the Bible

Just like praying is communicating with God, so is reading the Bible! It’s been said that the Bible is God’s love letter to His people. Reading God’s Word helps us grow closer to Him as we learn His character and provision for His people.

In Scripture, we read stories filled with God’s love, promises for His people, and instructions on living a godly life. It’s a beautiful reminder that God has been redeeming all of creation through His Son, Jesus, since Adam and Eve ate the fruit. Everything in Scripture points to Jesus, even in the Old Testament!

The Words of God will teach you all you need to know; they are rich with meaning! You’ll develop wisdom and understanding. The Bible will give you hope and renew your mind.
