The numbers are in and biblical programs pulled big television audiences Easter Sunday.

Sunday's premiere of "A.D. The Bible Continues" on NBC was a top 10 show, with 9.7 million viewers. That is just a million viewers less than "The Bible" miniseries attracted to The History Channel in 2013.

Both series were produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.

The traditional Easter broadcast of the movie "The Ten Commandments" reached 6.9 million viewers on ABC.

The top-rated show for the week was the Final Four basketball game between Wisconsin and Kentucky on TBS. It pulled 16.8 million viewers.
