Rev. Joel Palser

Rev. Joel Palser, Ph.D. has served The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) for 20 years. Originally, he came to Regent University as the Chaplain in 1993. Doctor Palser is the CBN Chaplain and Vice President of Ministry Relations. His daily role as corporate Chaplain supports staff deployed both domestically and internationally. Serving CBN has taken him to 20 nations. Joel’s prior positions as associate and senior pastor included OH, TX, VA, and WI. He has undergraduate degrees in Church Leadership from Southwestern University of Texas (’75); and a second Bachelor in Biblical Literature, summa cum laude, from Oral Roberts University (’89). His master's degree in Biblical Literature (’91) was also from ORU, with high honors. At Regent University (2005) he earned the Doctor of Philosophy in Organization Leadership, with an emphasis in Divinity. His dissertation was a correlation study of clergy burnout and emotional intelligence. In addition to his role at CBN, he serves as adjunct professor to Regent University Undergraduate Biblical Studies. Joel and his wife Rhonda, are both from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, but have lived in the Virginia Beach area since ’93. They have two married adult children, and four adored grandchildren.
