John Stolnis is the assignment editor for the Washington, D.C., bureau and hosts the weekly CBN News podcast, D.C. Debrief.

CBN is John's first foray into television. He spent the first 20+ years of his broadcasting career in radio, hosting news and sports talk programs, anchoring the news, and DJing for multiple Top-40 stations in the Philadelphia market. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 2004 as a booking producer for Westwood One’s nationally syndicated Jim Bohannon Show and as an editor for NBC News Radio.

During his 16 years at Westwood One, John produced talk radio programs hosted by former Senator Fred Thompson and Douglas Urbanski and served as Executive Editor and News Manager for Westwood One News Radio. He also served as the network's primary producer of special events, including live election night coverage of every major election from 2008-2016. He currently freelances as a news reporter for Westwood One's morning news magazine show, America in the Morning.

John also is a big Philadelphia sports fan and hosts podcasts and writes articles for two widely read websites for SB Nation. He graduated with a B.A. from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania in 1998 and lives in northern Virginia with his wife Amy and their three sons.
