JERUSALEM, Israel – Israel’s largest green organization is helping bring Christmas to Christians in the Holy Land.

Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) is dedicated to preserving the Jewish homeland through environmental protection programs. Every year, the organization sells freshly cut trees Christmas trees in heavily Christian areas.

The organization says the trees are cut from groves in the Galilee region.

Christians in Israel are invited to purchase the trees on Tuesday, Dec. 14 between 9 am – 5 pm at Meshek Neve Hagar, Derech HaYaar 2, Bethlehem of Galilee.

The group says in a statement on their website that the annual tree distribution is “an important contribution of KKL-JNF towards maintaining the texture of life in the state of Israel and serves as an example of good relations with all the country’s different religions. In addition, distribution cuts down illegal tree cutting and allows the general public to enjoy a beautiful tree for the holiday.”
