A Storm of Blessing

When a powerful EF-3 tornado blew through neighborhoods surrounding Tabernacle Faith Church in Arkansas, Pastor Marvin Norman knew his congregants and many other people needed help.

He told us, “The need is so great. There’s no power, so people have lost everything that was in their refrigerators, their deep freezers, and right now they’re just living off whatever they can get.”

After the storms, people had trouble just feeding their families. Operation Blessing quickly deployed disaster relief teams to offer critical aid to those in need. Staff and volunteers joined with local churches like Tabernacle Faith to feed the community.

“The response was so awesome. I want to thank and praise the Lord, God Almighty, for Operation Blessing with the 700 Club,” Pastor Norman celebrated.

Thanks to the support of our partners, hot meals made it into the hands of many struggling families.

Pastor Norman said, “We’ve been serving the needs of the people—three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and supper. And when I say meals, I’m not talking about a hot dog or a baloney sandwich, I’m talking about some real food.”

Lisa Brown, a resident of Wynne told us, “It’s a blessing, especially for the people that don’t have a way to get to the food, you know it’s harder. And with Operation Blessing being here, you can just get you a good old hot meal.”

Providing help like this is only possible through the generous support and prayers of our Operation Blessing partners.

Pastor Norman implored, “If you can be a blessing to Operation Blessing and the 700 Club, please do. It’s a worthy cause, and God is getting the glory out of all of this. Amen.”
