As Senior Washington Correspondent for CBN News, Jennifer covers the intersection of faith and politics - often producing longer format stories that dive deep into the most pressing issues facing Americans today.

A 20-year veteran journalist, Jennifer has spent most of her career covering politics, most recently at the White House as CBN's chief White House Correspondent covering the Obama and Trump administrations.

She's also covered Capitol Hill along with a slew of major national stories from the 2008 financial crisis to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and every election in between. Jennifer has also reported internationally from Central America and Europe.

Before joining CBN News, Jennifer worked as Richmond Bureau Chief and Capitol Correspondent for WDBJ7, the CBS affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia. In Richmond, she covered state government and politics full-time. Her assignments included the 2008 presidential race, the administrations of Governors Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, and the Virginia Tech shootings.

Jennifer is a proud Hokie, graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in journalism. She's also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. Jennifer lives on a small farm in Virginia with her husband, Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert, and their two young boys.
