General Killed after Pro-Russia Rebels Down Helicopter

At least 14 Ukrainian soldiers, including a general, are dead Thursday after pro-Russia insurgents shot down the helicopter they were flying near the eastern city of Slovyansk.
Ukraine's acting President Oleksandr Turchynov told parliament the rebels used a heat-seeking missle to take down the chopper.
Gen. Volodymyr Kultchitsky, who was killed in the attack, had once served in the Soviet Army and was in charge of training the Ukrainian national guard.
The violent clashes continue across the eastern parts of the country as Ukrainian forces toughened their approach to the separatist movement earlier this week.
