Dunkin Donuts is ringing in the holiday season with a new festive cup.

The coffee and donut chain released  new holiday cups that will be decorated with a wreath circling the word "joy."

The cup arrives during a time that some would consider to be 'perfect.' Their release comes after a Facebook video sent out an alert that Starbucks removed its elaborate Christmas decor.

The video went viral with over a half a million views, and some took to Twitter to express their disappointment with the #MerryChristmasStarbucks.

"Starbucks removed Christmas from their cups because they hate Jesus," Joshua Feuerstein, who created the Facebook video, said. Feuerstein put out the call to believers to tell Starbuck baristas that their name is "Merry Christimas," so that the slogan is still placed on the cup.

That response has been interpreted by some media outlets that Christians are outraged about the minimalist decor.

But there is little evidence to back that claim.

Business mogul Donald Trump put the issue before a crowd of thousands at a pre-debate rally in Springfield, Illnois, on Monday.

"Did you read about Starbucks? No more Merry Christmas on Starbucks," he said. "Maybe we should boycott Starbucks. I don't know. Seriously, I don't care."

That is a sentiment that many Christians are backing.

On his Sirius XM Catholic Channel radio program Timothy Cardinal Dolan said, "We have to be temperate about the way we do this."

"Sometimes I think if we rail too much about a, 'secular spirit of Christmas' we would play into the hands of our enemies, who might want to destroy the true meaning of Christmas by caricaturing us as 'these naysayers,' 'these people who are always crabbing.'"
