ASHKELON, Israel – Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence came to Israel to show his support for the Jewish State during its war with Hamas.

CBN News sat down with Pence at the Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon just a few miles from the Gaza border.

He had just met with families of the hostages and after he visited some of the communities such as Kibbutz Kfar Aza, which were destroyed by Hamas on October 7th.

In a wide ranging interview, he addressed why the U.S. needs to let Israel prosecute the war on its own terms, what should happen the day after the war, and why standing with Israel now is so important for America and for Christians during Israel’s darkest hour since the Holocaust.
