Who is Jesus? Why Should I Believe in Him?
You are not alone
We’re so glad you’re here and asking questions about Jesus and the Christian faith. Did you know that every Christian you’ve ever met was once in your same shoes? They questioned whether they needed God or if God even cared about them.
The Bible says that “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;” (Isaiah 53:6). We see in Romans 3:23, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” This means that all people have turned away from God, and our sin separates us from Him. BUT! There is good news!
The Bible also says in Romans 6:23 that “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
This is fantastic news! Even though we are separated from God because of our sin, when we trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we will no longer be separated from Him!
God loves you and wants you to know Him. When you know God, He will fill you with peace and give you life—forever!
"God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die." Jesus said, "I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest." God desires to have a relationship with you.
CBN understands that coming to faith in Jesus Christ is a journey. We would love to walk alongside you as you begin to investigate this man called Jesus and what it means to have a relationship with Him. You may have many questions; we’ve gathered answers!
If you’d like to pray to receive Jesus as your Savior, you can use this guided prayer below. Prayer is talking to God. You don’t have to do anything special; speak to God and tell Him how you feel.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God. So now I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
