Celebrate 60 Years of 700 Club Testimonials

To commemorate CBN’s 60th broadcast anniversary, the following testimonies were selected to showcase the impact that CBN broadcasts have had on viewers.

Paul

“I was looking for more meaning to my life,” says 700 Club viewer Paul. “I knew that I needed more knowledge. I didn't, I didn’t know what to do.”

It was then he came across a Christian TV program that would become his source of hope and encouragement, the 700 Club.

“And I knew that 700 Club was there and they had the knowledge, and I was yearning for it,” says Paul.

But Paul still wasn’t sure God really cared about him.  That changed one day in February of 1986 on a broadcast of the 700 Club when Pat Robertson was speaking directly to viewers.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to tell you right now, there is hope. There’s hope in Jesus. And he can work out the problem.”

Paul prayed with Pat to ask for God’s forgiveness and give his life to Christ.

“The biggest thing that I understood after watching The 700 Club is that Jesus Christ would have died for me if I was the only one that needed dying for,” says Paul.

Malaysia

The migraines had been coming daily for three weeks when Malaysia and her mom sat down to watch The 700 Club, as they do most days.

“And we got to the part where Miss Wendy and Mr. Pat were about to pray,” says Malaysia.  “And then all of a sudden Miss Wendy was like, ‘There's someone watching who's having migraines.’”

“I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, mom, that's for me!’  And so all of a sudden I just remember I shouted, just started praising God right then and there,” remembers Malaysia. “A cold chill came over me and I knew that healing was for me right in that moment.  Then the pain was gone!  And I woke up the next morning still pain free.”

Donald

“I watched The 700 Club that Thursday morning,” remembers Donald. “Gordon Robertson had a word…”

“Someone else, with nerve pain on the right side of your face that goes up into your upper right part of your skull,“ says Gordon.  “And God’s just taking that nerve pain away from you.”

“And I go, ‘wait a minute, that sounds like what’s going on with me,’” says Donald. “It wasn’t just me watching a tv show …that’s for me!”

Ann

“I turned the TV on, and I keep a timer for when The 700 Club airs,” remembers Ann. “And so I flipped over. And just within a couple of seconds, Terry Meeuwsen came on with the message of healing…”

“There’s someone else, you have ulcerative colitis and it’s so painful. But today is your day,” says Terry. “Jesus is healing you and it’s going to be not just a little bit better; it’s going to be gone, in Jesus’ name.”

“I just lifted my hands and said, ‘I take it. I accept it. I claim it, in the name of Jesus Christ,’” says Ann. “The symptoms stopped. All of the pain went away, and I felt hope for the first time in almost five years.”

Carol and baby Sandra

“Pat Robertson was on TV and he started talking about a God who still heals, A GOD WHO STILL HEALS! Wow, those are incredible words, I had not heard them at any of the churches, I had not heard them from the people, I just heard that I had to accept the way Sandra was going to be probably in a wheelchair or probably with a walker…but this man on TV said there’s a God who still heals,” remembers Carol. “ That was amazing, it was amazing. It was exactly what I needed to hear.”
