When You Need to Know What’s True

In a world where security threats are an ever-present reality, Special Forces Veteran, Jim Wagner stands on the front lines, training churches to respond to the unthinkable: an active shooter.

“My very life and the lives of others that I protect daily depend upon me staying current with all news dealing with violence against Jews and Christians around the world.” Says Jim Wagner.

“I already know that what's coming out of (CBN NEWS) The 700 Club is reliable. I have no trouble taking a pertinent story and shooting it out to people I know [in intelligence]” says Jim.

Jim's security career started with training in martial arts, which he combined with military tactics. This led to a unique career in the Army.

“It was my goal to learn as many martial arts as possible.” Notes Jim.

Later he served in law enforcement and then onto security training, impacting lives globally.

“That's when I created what I called 'Reality-Based Personal Protection.'' Jim states.

“Since I have trained thousands of law enforcement officers, military personnel, martial artists, bodyguards, security officers, and have had many real-world confrontations with the bad guys, I am constantly comparing what works and what doesn’t. I’ve been invited to many agencies and units worldwide to fill in the gaps of their training...to make their systems better, and to teach new techniques and tactics I have created.” Jim continues.

His wife Karen's unwavering faith and prayers have supported Jim through countless dangerous missions. Their shared belief in God's protection has been a cornerstone of their marriage.

“She was, and is, a great prayer warrior, trusting God to take care of me. For many years she had to wonder if I would make it home safe each night. When I was a counterterrorist agent, I couldn’t tell her where I was in the country (on missions) until I was actually on the ground at the location, which changed daily. There were a few countries she could not go with me, because it was not safe, or she was not allowed.” Recalls Jim.

“I only can handle things because of the Lord. The coping comes through prayer and the Lord calming my heart... Many times throughout the day.” Karen, his wife notes.

Jim's commitment to preparing others for potential threats extends to churches, schools, and synagogues. His organization, Children's Survival, focuses on educating both adults and children. Unfortunately, today, it isn’t as hard to convince church leaders that they need a strategic approach to security. The goal is not to scare people, but to prepare them

“I'm one of the "pioneers" who started armed church security before it was on most churches’ radar (1991). “I would teach SWAT teams and officers how to respond.... I teach a few churches every month: firearms courses, active shooter response, bomb searches, Vehicle Ramming Attack defense, counter-sniper, de-escalation of hostiles, anti-riot, and just about everything dealing with violence against God's people.” Jim says.

As members of The 700 Club The Wagners' deep connection with CBN goes beyond viewing CBN News; they actively support the ministry's global outreach and reliable news coverage.

“I want to hear the news and testimony stories. I don't want to miss any of it.... We like what you do all over the world. We trust your news more than any other.” Karen adds.

“(With Operation Blessing) You’re going to make sure people are taken care of even after the news has left.” Jim states.

“CBN gives you hope that there are still good things going on in the world. That’s why we're pretty much devoted to watching it every time it's on.” He continues.

For Jim and Karen, The 700 Club is not just a program; it's a lifeline of faith, hope, and essential information.
