Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down on the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.* Because of the joy* awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.

DAY 66: "Fighting Discouragement"
Are you growing weary in doing well? Sometimes the work we do can leave us drained, needing help to go on. But we have a promise that if we wait on Him, He will renew our strength. Lord, as many grow weary of working in new and sometimes challenging ways, we pray that they would rely on You to renew their strength, and we ask that you would remind us all that You are always with us in every situation we face.
