Marla Taviano

Marla Taviano is the author of 11 books, including From Blushing Bride to Wedded Wife (2006).

Her biggest passions are loving the poor, seeking justice, and building libraries.

In 2011, she and her husband and their three daughters spent five weeks in Cambodia, and it rocked their world. The subsequent three years were the hardest of their lives, but God is good.

In 2014, Marla and her husband, Gabe, lived in a small-but-fun apartment with their awesome, unschooled daughters—Olivia, Ava, and Nina—and a few hundred Somali & Nepali refugee neighbor-friends (well, they had their own apartments).

In January 2015, they hopped on a plane with one-way tickets to Cambodia, a country they now call home. Gabe started his own design company, Kingdom Media, employing young Cambodians (and one of his daughters), and Marla is helping build libraries in villages outside the city of Siem Reap.
