In 2015, Dorcas became a freelance writer, a fulfillment of her childhood dream. She is a regular contributor to the online magazine Refresh, a Lighthouse Bible Studies Publication. She is also a columnist for Broken but Priceless: The Magazine, the online publication of Broken but Priceless Ministries.
Before Dorcas became a writer, her journey brought her to the world of medicine. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed her residency at the Portsmouth Family Medicine Residency Program. She currently practices in Virginia Beach, where she enjoys her life with her husband, son and extended family.
In her writing, Dorcas uses the special names of God and Jesus – Yahweh and Yeshua. Calling on the Names has added a special blessing to her worship and devotions, and she wants to share the treasure with her readers. Her life verse is “Delight thyself also in [Yahweh]; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” KJV. Her heart’s desire is that Yahweh will continue to use her for His purpose as a wife, mother, physician and writer.
