Despite China's Mideast Inroads, Abraham Accords Co-Architect 'Optimistic' about Israeli-Arab Ties

As an attorney and advisor to President Donald Trump on Israel and the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt was one of the chief architects of the 2019 Abraham Accords, which strengthened ties between Israel and some of the Arab Gulf States, along with Sudan and Morocco.

China's announcement last week that Beijing brokered a restoration of relations between western ally Saudi Arabia and the Islamist regime in Iran, dedicated to the destruction of both Israel and the United States, was unwelcome news to many leaders, including those in Jerusalem and Washington, D.C.

Despite the challenges posed by Communist China to peace in the region, Greenblatt still is optimistic about further expansion of the Abraham Accords to other Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia. Establishing diplomatic relations with the Saudis is high on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's priority list.

CBN News interviewed Greenblatt about the shifting diplomatic landscape and the prospects ahead. For the full interview, click on the video above.
