The number of suicides in Japan is down for the third year in a row, but it is still a serious problem in this nation with the world's third largest economy.

Suicides dropped from around 30,000 a year to a little more than 27,000 in 2013.
    
Depression, mental illness and debt are often the reasons behind it and Japan struggles with bringing awareness to it. One reason could be the overall lack of religion.
    
Many Japanese see suicide as an honorable course of action, and the lack of a religious or social opposition to the act in the country hasn't helped. 
    
Less than one percent of Japan is Christian. How might that affect the country's society?
