Evangelist and author Anne Graham Lotz strongly warned an audience of pastors and ministers that America is coming under judgment.

Lotz addressed the group during Watchmen on the Wall, an annual conference that stirs church leaders to watch and pray for the nation.

The founder of AnGeL Ministries and the chairwoman of the National Day of Prayer shared with CBN News that it is critical for the church to remain salt and light in our culture.

"If the light has grown dim and we hide it under a bushel of political correctness or intimidation...because we are not speaking the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, then...our nation has lost its moral compass," she said.

America is in danger and is coming under judgment Lotz explained during the meeting sponsored by the Family Research Council.

She says it is vital for leaders to hold fast to the nation's Judeo-Christian values because it determines where the church stands on moral issues.

She added that Christians must remain in the Word daily in order to shift the culture and change the nation.

"A lot of people who are angry, filled with fear, apprehension, they're confused, they don't know what's going on but we have the answer and the answer is Jesus," she expressed.

It is a challenge that Lotz takes seriously and she is inviting people to join with her in listening to the Word of God and praying.

God Speaking is an eight-day challenge sponsored in part by Graham and Faith Comes By Hearing. They are asking people to listen to the Word of God.

The program will begin on August 8. The goal is leading people into a deeper journey in God's Word first by listening to the Book of Genesis, Matthew, Acts, and Revelation.

It will be available in 937 languages and divided into eight one-hour segments.

Graham says when Christians listen to the Word and pray they are sure to see God change the heart of the church in a powerful way.

"I believe it will impact the nation and the world," she said. "We want to be found faithful when he returns."
