Seeing the Move of God in Your Daily Life

A DEFINING MOMENT

The church has chased revival for centuries, but this last day revival can’t simply be chased from city to city or preacher to preacher. “This is something that must be manifest in every church, every city, and every believer.”

According to Mark 16, signs and wonders will follow believers. Tony says, “The early church evangelized the known world because every believer was empowered to be a RevivalMaker. The apostles were able to function in any gift of the spirit necessary in that specific moment given the need.”

The condition of our world today requires a bold body of believers who will stand firm in the faith and demonstrate the power of God according to the need presented.

In 2021, Tony was invited to speak at the Fresh Start Church in Phoenix, Arizona. That week he heard God speak to his heart. God told Tony that He would use him to minister, but that He was going to do something to him and show him something he had never seen before. Tony has been in plenty of prayer meetings and services where the power of God fell and miracles took place and people were saved.

After he was introduced and went to the pulpit he suddenly could barely stand or talk. “I was immediately overwhelmed by an intense touch of God, greater than I had ever felt in my life,” reveals Tony. He felt the Lord speak to him that this is that! This is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel. This is what the church has been longing for, praying for, seeking for since the second chapter of the book of Acts.

What he was experiencing that night was the manifest power of the Holy Ghost the way he always dreamed it would be when He would come in His fullness. He was so drunk in the Spirit the church brought him a chair to sit down in so he could preach. In the middle of his sermon God spoke through him, “I don’t need revival chasers, I need revival makers.” This moment changed everything for Tony. He has never been the same.

RECIPE FOR REVIVAL

I want to cause revival to break out wherever I am and cause others to step in because greater is He that is in me. Therefore, He through me manifests revival wherever I go. When Tony married his wife, Jina, a few years ago, he asked if she could cook a few dishes like his mom. He wanted her to call his mom to find out certain ingredients used in the dish. He did not want any substitions to alter the taste. In the same manner, Tony doesn’t like it when people mess with the church and try to take out things that are necessary and foundational for a powerful move of God. He believes the necessary ingredients for revival were given in the book of Acts and they will work in any church, denomination, or network:

A church of prayer - everything starts with prayer. Tony says, “When we pray we’ve opened up direct communication with the Father in Heaven.”

  • Tony grew up in a Christian home where they prayed about everything. His mom was a prayer warrior. When she prayed things happened. In the fourth grade he was assigned a teacher known for kicking desks, hitting people with rulers and getting in their face. He was devastated this lady would be his teacher. His mother told him they were going to pray about the situation. She prayed for favor and declared that this would be Tony’s best school year. His mom even invited the teacher to Tony’s piano recital. Surprisingly, his teacher came to all his piano recitals from fourth grade until he graduated from high school. She gave him a birthday card and became a friend of the family. “Complaining does nothing to help, but prayer changes things,” shares Tony.
  • In this age of social media there are a lot of frustrations and complaints being voiced. Instead of tweeting and posting, it is time for the church to get back to praying. “The Bible teaches that God answers prayers, not our complaints or frustrations,” reveals Tony. In the first chapter of Samuel it teaches us how Hannah’s life was directly connected to prayer. Each year she prayed for a child, but nothing changed. Meanwhile, her husband Elkanah would quench her faith while Peninnah (one of the other wives) ridiculed Hannah for being barren. Hannah did not give up. She remained steadfast in her prayer life about the situation and God answered her prayer.

A church of consecration – do not live simply for yourself. There is a standard of righteousness the Lord expects us to live by. This doesn’t mean that holiness equals perfection because there are plenty of people in the Bible who were considered holy by God but had messes in their lives. Tony reveals, “Since we represent Jesus to the world, make sure you live your life as a living sacrifice that testifies of the glory of our God to those around you.”

  • In the church, the acceptance of alcohol in the Spirit-filled church is now widespread and Tony believes it has opened doors that were never meant to be open. He personally knows preachers who were not allowed to get on their next flight due to intoxication. Or, other ministers who gather for drinks after a service and dabble with other vices in order to relieve stress. Tony does not believe God is pleased in these instances. “While we agree that there is no official biblical prohibition on strong drink, there certainly is regarding drunkenness,” shares Tony. He feels the best practice for him is to abstain. This is his conviction and he realizes others may feel differently on this subject.

A church filled with the Holy Spirit that stays full of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Ghost isn’t a one-time event. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is access to the fountain of God, to perpetual power that you can come and soak and bathe in every day.” If this generation is to experience the power of the Lord they must learn the language and sound of the Spirit.

  • Tony is a third-generation Pentecostal preacher. His greatest passion in life is preaching and teaching about Jesus and watching God save and heal. His calling is to be a remnant of pentecost to the world. His grandfather, Heli, had a supernatural conversion. After reading the book of Acts he decided if his family wanted what the first century church had received they would need to do what the first century church did. He took his family into the countryside, camped out on a hillside, and prayed, and fasted for the promise of the Father. An angel appeared to his Uncle Rafael, who was eight at the time. He told Rafael the city, the street name, and number of where to go. Heli followed the instructions Rafael was given by the angel. When they arrived at the location a missionary shared the message of the gospel and the message of Pentecost. Then he prayed for the family, laid hands on them, and they all received the promise of the Father by speaking in tongues. This act of faith changed his family forever.
  • Expectation –God is your Father and we are His children. When you pray come boldly before the throne. RevivalMakers expect to see miracles, healings, and revival.
